CommentsOther than the usual 2-3 time annual visits back home to visit the folks, I haven't had the opportunity to spend much time in Elkhart over the past 30+ years. Now that we have moved back to the area, I am looking forward to running into some of the alumni still in Elkhart at the favorite eateries around town. Looking forward to the get together on the 25th! Heard_fromInvitation to the June 25th party.

CommentsHi Everyone! Plans are currently being discussed as to having a group 50th birthday party (since most of us have or will shortly turn 50) on Friday May 28th. Location not yet confirmed. Please contact Craig, Kathy or myself with any ideas you may have. Come on, we're a bunch of crazy 50 year olds, let's get together and celebrate the big FIVE-O. This is, of course, a pyot (pay your own tab) night. Some suggestions for the location are Harrison Landing, Pete's and Lakeshore. Please let us know what you think. Party On! Cheryl Heard_from

CommentsOkay, okay, enough already. I can only look at those "Flight Band" pictures so many times. Sort of brings up stuff for me that I really am not able to handle. Did anybody else attend, or was it just the band and their groupies. Patiently waiting for more pics to be posted. Heard_fromLink from austincoss.com
CommentsI wish I could have been to this one. Heard from Karen Bailey and Paul Huth that it was a great one, especially Friday night. So nice to read the guest book. I feel really detached having moved to Michigan. I see Carole Overpeck often. She is still one of my dearest friends and live a couple of blocks from me. Hope to get another chance at the next reunion. Heard_fromKaren Bailey

CommentsMany thanks to the entire Reunion Committee for putting together such a great weekend of events. Friday night was fantastic ... seeing people I haven't seen for 5 years or more and the BAND was outstanding. Jeff C. -- Golf is Heaven to my husband, so he, my brothers, and nephews could not stop talking about how much fun they had at the Golf Outing. It was alot more than they expected. It sounded like such a good time, maybe I won't give my spot away next time. Deb S. and Mindy S. -- It was great to catch up with you. Hope we can stay in touch more than every five years. njr Heard_from
CommentsI had a great time at the party! It was great to see everyone after 30 years. Hopefully I won't wait 30 years to come to the next party. The music was great, thanks to The Flight Band and thanks to the committee for an outstanding job! Heard_from

CommentsWhat a great reunion!! How soon can I sign up for the next one?!! Many thanks and shouts out to: Stan McCray and all of the planning committee for a job truly well done; Jeff Carmien and Amy, Bill "Wally" Walther, and Jeff's dad Jerry (who cooked up all of those killer brats) for their work on a most excellent golf outing; and Scott, Tommy, Dave, Bill, Mark and especially Pete Axsom, who pulled the band back together from long distance. It was a real treat playing with you guys again. Please keep me in mind if/when any of you come out of retirement! Heard_fromTom Eastman

CommentsSorry, I will not be able to attend. I was sure looking forward to seeing everyone again. I'll have to just kick back with a few bottles of Boone's Farm strawberry delight or maybe a six pack of Hop-N-Gator and reminisce!! All the best to you and yours. CommentsWell hello there class of 1973, and others! Wow, are we the old farts we used to laugh at, or what. I am disappointed. I read the others comments and no one even mentioned my name. LOL! There are probably not alot of you who even remember me. After all, Tom & I got married shortly after I graduated mid-term in Jan. of "73. (That would be Tom O'Neil, class of 1970.) Yes, we are still happily married. Yes, we are like every classic old married couple. We have two beautiful children. Shannon, she was our first born. She is married and has given us two wonderful grandchildren. Todd, he is 8 and almost my size all ready! ( in case you don't remember, I am only 5 ' 2" and "chunky". Unfortunately more than Miss Nancy who says "is it too late to lose 10 lbs., funny Nancy. I am sure you, Sarah Sample, all you ol' skinny girlfriends...ya, I'm talking to you too Cheryl Raber. You all know who you are....I should hate your still beautiful skinny butts....but instead I just miss ya and can only smile when I think of all you guys and gals from the past!) Anyway, I hope this finds everyone as well as us old folks can be...has everyone taken your medications today? LOL! We also have a very handsome son. He is in Iraq right now. He is with the 44th Chemical Company, attached to the 4th infantry. His name is Sgt. Patrick O'Neil, Chemical Operations Specialist. (has anyone heard from Skip, I heard he has something to do with Chemical Operations in Fla.) Patrick is out of Fort Hood, Texas. Both my kid's graduated from Jimtown. Then Patrick went on to graduate with honors from IU, Bloomington, before he joined the army, against mom's plea's by the way. (Some may remember my brother Mike doing 2 1/2 tours of Viet Nam, and I did not want my son in the army. But he did it anyway to pay off gov. loans.) Needless to say, we are very proud of him now. Lenny D. and family, you know how we feel, right. Yes, I do still talk...and talk...and talk...but I miss you all. We hope to get word to have to leave for Ft. Hood soon to be able to Welcome our son home. We are sort of on call until we hear. That is partly why Tommy & I will not be joining you. Take care all. And please keep good thoughts and prayers that all our servicemen and women will be able to return home safely soon. In Friendship & Peace, "Snickers" Heard_from

CommentsI only wish I could make it to the reunion. We have been working 6 day week here at Walt Disney World and I just can't get the time off when we are so buzy. I work at Disney's Animal Kindom Lodge. If anybody remembers me and is in the Orlando area, drop me a line. Maybe I will be able to get away for the 35th reunion. Thanks for sending me the invitation and keep me on your list. Heard_fromFrom Cynthia Marshall when she stayed with us.
CommentsHi, thank you to all that have put this website together, what a wonderful way for everyone to keep in touch.. Gosh, I haven't been to any reunions yet, but may have to look back at my graduating yearbook to remind myself who graduated in 73. Some may wonder if I even graduated, since I graduated mid-term in January of 73 when I turned 18, and my folks gave me a one way ticket as a birthday present, out to Tucson Arizona and lived out there for 8 years... I have been thru two other mariages, and now on my 3rd and last one, and look forward to a life time with my husband Richard, who we both wonder why we hadn't found each other before 1995 when we were married. I have two children, a girl age 12 and a boy age 11. I worked for 15 years at Crown Intl. after moving back here in 1981, but was in their first "downsizing" group in 1997 so was able to be a stay at home Mom for about a year. But since we have our children in a private school, I needed to get back to work, so in 1998 I started working for MSC Ind. Supply and have been there for 5 years. If anyone would like to keep in touch, just give me an Email. God Bless, Vicki (White) Bloss Heard_fromMy old school time friend Sue (Ramsby) Vicary told me that this website is out here.
